We hope you had a wonderful, happy, safe, and peaceful holiday season! The neighborhood sure looks festive with all the holiday lighting! Thanks to all who care to "dress up" the neighborhood during this season!
Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday evening, January 13th ~ 7:00 PM, at the historic John Steele House ~ corner of Steele St. and Richard St. We have a strong agenda for this meeting, the first of the year and a kick off meeting to discuss last year's efforts and our many and varied projects for this year!
Traditionally these meetings are Board meetings - generally held every other month. However the Board does not exclude and in fact welcomes participation by all members of the community! Your input is invaluable and the more hands we have working together the more we can accomplish.
Here are some of the items on our agenda for this month:
- Incident & nuisance handling
- Planning for Neighborhood Meeting (February)
- Planning for next Neighborhood Social Event (Spring)
- Planning for speaking at City Council Meeting (topics?)
- Historic House Plaque Program
- Neighborhood Captains (neighborhood is large - how to better handle concerns in YOUR area)
- Upcoming newsletter
- Fit Community Grant status
- Railroad St. Parcel status
- Old North Salisbury "Green Team"
- City of Salisbury Foreclosure/Revitalization Grants
- Membership
If you have additional items you would like to see added to our agenda, you can always place a comment here or email us at oldnorthsalisbury@gmail.com. We will always respond!
We are looking forward to a most wonderful and productive 2009! See you 'round the neighborhood!
